Newsflash!!

We interrupt this program....

During the course of World War 2, listeners often heard this phrase cut into their favorite radio shows. bulletJapanese internments in the USA

bulletYou may record on a standard cassette or CD and are welcome to use sound effects to enhance the story.
bulletYou are required to include a first-hand account as told by someone who was at or near the event.
bulletIn your presentation (and as a good journalist) you should address the 5 W's:

When Who Where What Why

bulletElements that are always great "additions" include statistics and numbers and detailed descriptions of the events and their aftermaths. Keep in mind, however, that you are reporting for radio, and thus no visual cue can be used!
bulletYou will be required to turn in a typed version of your script before you do your presentation (so it will be a good idea to print out 2 of them). You will not be allowed to present without one!!
