You will be assigned a presidential candidate hopeful.  You will create a profile of your candidate.  Your profile will include the following and should be placed on tagboard:

Other Occupations: (when they weren't in politics)

Current Occupation: (senator, ambassador, what are they now?)

Stand on important issues including:  abortion, social security, federal deficit, gun rights, same-sex marriages, taxes and anything else that stands out.

The following are potential candidates for the 2008 election, you will create a profile for the person who your name is beside.

Chris, Mitchel, Mitchell, Mandy-you will find and present visual information dealing with the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections.  Information such as what states vote typically, how states stack up to the issues-look at me homepage for government fro an idea on how to get started-look at the Red/blue America charts and maps for an idea of what to do.  Find information pertaining to demographics-such as how women, men, minorities etc vote.  What issues are the most important and how people vote.  Find the latest polls on the candidates and things like that-It may be a little challenging but with four of you I have high expectations-remember you need to make this a visual presentation so powerpoint or poster or something.
